Frequently Asked Questions on Website design from UKB2B
- What type of e-mails do we send out on your behalf ?
: There are 2 main types of e-mail
HTML E-mails (the most common)
Html designed e-mail is basically a replica of your site design, the look and feel of a website page, visually stimulating but incorporating many marketing ideas that UKB2B provide that will help you and your customer.
PlainText e-mails
These are basically what they say, a plain text document that does not contain any interactive content.
A:Well, Some ISP's these days do not allow html e-mails due to the amount of spam around the net. So we send both types to the same address and the ISP will get a choice of which one to let in. remember any message sent is a bonus compared to being bounced back.
- What Statistical information do you have on the e-mails that go out?
Each newsletter has certain code within the Html that tracks the following:
1. How many were sent out
2.How many reached there destination
3.How many were bounced (wrong e-mail address or inbox full
4. How many were opened and so read
5.Which links a reader has clicked to visit a certainadvertisers web site.(very useful info)
- What can I do to ensure my e-mail campaign is measurable?
The best way is to design a "one off" page on your current web site just for the campaign and monitor the traffic through your own statistical information that should be available to you. if it isn't and your web designer wants a lot of money to do this we can help, just ring us on 08700 606 336.
If you don't want to do the above, then collate the statistics we give you and compare them with the "on the ground info" by this we mean:
If our records show you that 30 people have visited your web site and a particular product or service, then ask your staff to find out "has there been more e-mails and calls since the campaign went out?"
